Our Story
We All Have Been Through Something
Been Through Something was created with a mission to spread awareness and support through modern clothes that are relatable, wearable, and comfortable.
The colors in our logo are not just another trend. They are what we are all about. They represent mental health, breast cancer, domestic violence, and many more diseases or disorders, shedding light on all the struggles people go through. Our hoodies, t-shirts, and sweatpants carry this logo and are carefully crafted to complement your style while sending a powerful message. Most people have been through something difficult in their lives, and we are here to honor, respect, and celebrate their efforts.
A Way To Flip Life’s Script
Every brand has its unheard story that is unknown to the world. In our case, pain, despair, and a commitment to make the world a better place fueled our inspiration and led us to build Been Through Something.
As an infant, I was taken away from my mother, lived with my grandmother, and met my father when I was 9 years old. Being the son of a drug-dealer mom and a man going in and out of jail was not easy. Growing up, I've been through something, dealing with depression, anxiety, and ADHD. Even though I struggled with my mental health, I was determined to be the best man I could be. Always give back when you can, be kind, and help others, especially the elderly and youth – these were the principles I chose to follow in my life.
When my godson suffered a gun violence attack and became paralyzed from the waist down at age 18, and my son was going through rough times because of his mental health issues, I decided it was time to take action and make a change.
Seeing these boys suffering at such a young age inspired me to make clothing more inclusive and use it for a significant cause. Been Through Something is my way of making something good out of something sad and heartbreaking, giving voice to those unheard, and turning society into a world of unashamed sharing and support.
After all, everyone has been through something in life; how you handle it makes all the difference!
